7/9/25:- Some Blender stuff

Close-up on a dandelion clock

Along with the musical projects I've recently been continuing to work on my Neibolt Street animation project in Blender. I've been doing modelling and texturing for the interior shots set in 29 Neibolt St, and so far I think I've more or less finished the cellar and have started in the kitchen.

While I don't think the modelling will take too much time, some of the texturing is looking like being a bugger: mainly the wallpaper with the elves and roses, and the girly magazine cover. I think the former will likely require some finicky modelling to create an image and then figuring a way to tile it. I suppose the latter could be solved just by looking up vintage 1950s porn, but I'd really rather not do that, so I may end up having to model a character for it.

Incidentally, I'm still trying to figure out a way to do a good image reel for this website, where I'll then finally be able to start adding some of my Blender work. I have a rough version worked out offline but it's pretty messy and scrappy on account of being stitched together from various code sources. I really need to get to grips with how the code actually works, but I haven't had time to work on it as I've just got a bunch of other, more interesting and fun things to be working on right now.
