Aye.... two bits of good news today then.
First of all, this morning I finished the writing for my new solo EP. It's five tracks of breaks and drum n bass - very beat-focused with a big ol' dollop of acid on top. I still need to finalise the mixes and put together the cover, but I reckon it should be ready to release next weekend.
Secondly, Budd's just been over to record a verse - likely the final recording session of this Dem13 project. We've agreed it's going to be a six-track EP called "Make For The Light". This is also finished, as far as writing and arranging goes. I may still need to re-record some small vocal parts and finish up the mixes. The cover art is largely done though - Budd's just got to re-do the lettering. The 5-8 songs and beats we have left over are likely to go on to a mixtape at some point: there's still some cool stuff that isn't getting on to the EP as it's either repeating the same ideas or stylistically doesn't fit or is otherwise just out of place. The mixtape plan however is still pretty hazy. The EP is likely to be released in January, so that's summat to look forward to. :-)
