Gutted to hear about the passing of Chris Smith aka Captain Hotknives. He was a proper hilarious and sound radge-packet. He played several times in Sunderland, including his 50th birthday when we made him a cake in the shape of a can of Special Brew and he gave me some shrooms. I think one of my favourite memories though has to be on this video clip: he'd heard us calling Liam Bowl "Mr Tumnus" and improvised a little song in his honour, based on Ini Kamoze's "Hotstepper". Absolute legend. Rest in peace marra.
