Here's a bit of a tune I started work on today. It's actually gone kind of wrong for what I was intending: it started out as a techno track, and the vibes have totally changed to what I meant it to be. To be honest, I'm having a bit of trouble with this album project. It's a bit frustrating that I actually have quite clear ideas about what the songs are meant to sound like, but I just don't have the musical chops (or self-discipline) to actually make them sound as they're meant to. Instead, I spend a few minutes fumbling about for chords and melodies and get immediately sidetracked into doing something else. It's not exactly disaster-threatening yet - I've still got room to play around and fill out the record - but it does just feel like the few tracks I have specific ideas for are going to be a bastard to write.
