Bedridden
Lyrics written by Neil O'Brien
Every day she wakes up too early
And spends two hours trying to get out of bed
Puts on her slippers, tries not to look in the mirror
Slowly makes her way downstairs instead
Gets a glass of water and goes to the cupboard
Where she keeps the Prozac with the Special K
Swallows her pills and pours out a bowl
Breakfast is important to help you get through the day
She walks down the shop to buy the morning paper
She watches TV til she can stand it no more
Spends an hour looking out for the postman
Tries to think of someone to call
Looks at a catalogue of clothes that won't suit her
Wonders if maybe she should dye her hair red
Before she knows it, it's 3 o'clock
So instead she gives up and goes back to bed
