This second Rude Corps album, written in just nine days, just a couple of weeks after the first was completed, has never been a favourite of mine. Sonically, the tracks are more varied: I had by this point evidently begun sampling pads and drums and brass and stuff from my keyboard, and one track features a vocal sample made with some text-to-speech program (was there one bundled with Windows XP maybe?) However, the song ideas just don't feel as strong and it's all kind of forgetable.

My notes on this album from the old Rude Corps website describe this album as being about "being unfocussed and confused. At the time, I was constantly hatching a bewildering array of schemes without ever following them through to the end". I'm not entirely certain of what these schemes were. I think I was still writing quite a bit at that time - prose, that is - and at one point I remember I had some plan to set-up a small anarchist printing press to publish classic texts I'd found on the Anarchy Archives. I never got past saving up for an A3-sized printer. I suspect it's quite telling about how un-mired in the internet I was at that stage that I thought a physical print outlet for anarchist material would be a good idea at that time.

Anyway, this is a pretty mediocre album with no real highlights, but nothing really bad either. The version I'm making available is a re-mix from July 2010.
