Although as a bairn my earliest ambition was to become a writer, ironically, this is the creative pursuit I've actually done the least with. For some reason, I've spent far more time and effort on other stuff even though writing is perhaps my only natural talent. At some point in my late teens, my interest in writing fiction fell away and I mostly wrote essays instead - generally to clarify and develop my political and philosophical ideas. Unsurprisingly, most of the results are cringe-inducing shite (I'm SO happy I got through my youth largely pre-internet) that I have no intention of posting here. The selection below is made up of the less embarrassing bits and pieces and is mostly quite old.
- A Gothic Tale
- A Strange Death At St Mathew's
- A Tall-Tale Of Being Felled By A Tree
- Anarchism: Is There Any Other Option?
- Grimoire de la Nuit Longue
- Multi-Culturalism Is A Middle-Class Con
- Scar Stories 1
- Scar Stories 2
- The Coal Cellar
- The Plague
And here's a few odds and ends of anarchist propaganda I wrote from my days in NEA:
- Nee-Nar #1 [newsletter]
- Nee-Nar #2 [newsletter]
- Nee-Nar #3 [newsletter]
- Nee-Nar #4 [newsletter]
- Nee-Nar #5 [newsletter]
- The Joys Of Syndicalism [leaflet]
- The Origins Of May Day [leaflet]
Note: there's a couple of articles in the Nee-Nar's which were written by other comrades; it should be clear which from the stylistic differences I think. The NEA material is also hosted offsite.
