If Love Buzz is a favourite album of mine then Nihilist-Hedonist is its opposite. I genuinely think that this is the first time I've listened to it in best part of 20 years. Certainly I don't seem to have ever gone back to it to clean up the production and mixing. Honestly, it would just be trying to polish a turd. There's pretty much nothing on this album worth salvaging. Just about the only thing to be said for it was that it features the first track I ever did with a recorded vocal, and that was my old childhood mate Archie trying to do an impression of Wooderson from Dazed & Confused. That was recorded a few days after Christmas 2004, using a horrible karaoke mic I bought for £5 from a Cash Generator store; the rest of the album seems to have been finished during Oct of that year. There's also a totally incomprehensible (actually cos it's reversed) sample from Crass' "White Punks On Hope" used on "Talking Shit". No idea what I was thinking.

So aye.... definite contender for my worst ever album.
